Woman arrested for DUI after hitting bicyclist, 2 other cars
Idaho Falls Police arrested 46-year-old Jennifer Hunter for felony driving under the influence after she drove onto the sidewalk, hit a bicyclist and another car Wednesday afternoon.
According to reports by the Idaho Falls Police Department, officers were called to an injury accident at Yellowstone and Broadway around 12:15 p.m. Witnesses said that Hunter, driving a 1998 Buick Park Avenue, turned left on Yellowstone driving up onto the sidewalk and hitting a 21-year-old bicyclist standing on the sidewalk at the curb.
Hunter then came back onto the roadway and side-swiped a Ford Escape in the inside northbound lane on Yellowstone. It was also reported she rear-ended a Toyota Corolla car at A and Yellowstone.
The bicyclist was treated for minor injuries at the scene.
