Tuesday afternoon, Garden City Police were called to a report of a suspicious vehicle parked in the 400 block East 47th Street, a maroon Jeep Wagoneer.

When police arrived, they found the job and attempted to talk to the man inside, but he fled, "in a reckless manner."

Garden City Police engaged in a pursuit, but decided to call it off for the safety of the public. But they quickly found that the Jeep had been reported stolen on Monday.

"The driver of the Jeep Wagoneer is described as white male adult wearing a black jacket with gray hood and sweatpants," said Sgt. Bob Little with the Garden City Police.

Garden City Police request the citizen's help in locating the Jeep Wagoneer and the driver. The license plate number of the Jeep is IA 3D585. Anyone with information regarding this incident is encouraged to contact The Garden City Police at (208) 472-2950 or Crime Stoppers at (208) 343-COPS (2677).
