Southwest Idaho man pleads guilty to attempting to sell guns in park
BOISE, Idaho (AP) -- A 31-year-old man who police say arranged to sell two sawed-off shotguns in a Boise park to a person who turned out to be an undercover FBI informant has pleaded guilty to possessing an unregistered firearm.
The Idaho Statesman reports in a story published Tuesday that Joshua Michael Trent is scheduled to be sentenced Feb. 5 in U.S. District Court.
Authorities say Trent is among 21 gang members or gang associates accused of a variety of drug and firearm crimes who were indicted in September.
U.S. Attorney Wendy Olson says the investigation began when officials focused on the "Aryan Knights" gang and its associates.
