Flights held after “credible” threat at Boise Airport
Police are investigating what officials are calling “a credible threat” at the Boise Airport.
Airport spokeswoman Patti Miller says someone phoned in a threat to the Airport office about 2:30 Tuesday afternoon. She would not elaborate as to what the caller said.
As a result, the Transportation Security Administration screening area has been shut down, out of wheat Miller termed “an abundance of caution.”
“Several hundred passengers (who were scheduled to leave on departing flights) are being held in the lobby,” Miller said. “Incoming flights are being allowed to land. But passengers on those flights are behind held at the gate.”
The incident is being investigating by the Boise Airport, the Boise Police Department, and the TSA.
