A woman has been arrested relating to a crash that left a Kuna motorcyclist dead in July.

The crash happened at the intersection of Eagle Road and Amity Road at 3:40 p.m. Saturday, July 21. Ji Yun Park, 33 of Meridian, was driving a 2005 Toyota Sienna north on Eagle Road. A 50-year-old man, of Kuna, was driving a 2005 Harley Davidson motorcycle west on Amity Road.

"The motorcyclist stopped at the stop sign at the intersection of Amity Road and Eagle Road," said Andrea Dearden with the Ada County Sheriff's office. The 50-year-old had the right-of-way and, but Park failed to stop at the intersection and hit the Harley Davidson, pinning the motorcycle and the rider under the minivan. The vehicles left the northwest side of the road, drove over a borrow pit and came to a stop about 15 feet off the road.

The man was critically injured and was transported by Ada County Paramedics to St. Alphonsus Regional Medical Center where he was later pronounced dead. He was wearing a helmet.

Ji Yun Park was charged Thursday with Misdemeanor Involuntary Manslaughter.
