Volunteers help elderly and disabled to Rake Up Nampa
The City of Nampa will be holding Rake Up Nampa this Saturday. Teams will meet beginning at 8 a.m. at the Economic Development Office located at 9 Twelfth Ave South.
"This year 850 volunteers are helping the owners of 87 homes," said Sharla Arledge with the City of Nampa. "The owners of the homes are elderly and/or disabled and the work of the volunteers makes a huge difference for them. Volunteers find the experience extremely rewarding."
Arledge said that Rake Up Nampa is made possible because of the community’s willingness to volunteer and help their neighbors.
