Coeur d'Alene woman killed in crash on icy roads
SPOKANE, Wash. (AP) -- Authorities say a Coeur d'Alene woman died after she lost control of her car and was hit by a pickup truck.
Idaho State Police say 40-year-old Neta J. Clift was driving north on state Highway 41 near Spirit Lake Monday when her car slid on the snow-covered road, spun into the southbound lane and was hit by the truck.
Clift died at the scene. The driver and a 10-year-old passenger in the truck were treated and released from a hospital.
Investigators say they have not determined whether Clift was wearing a seat belt.
The Spokesman-Review reports Clift was an intense behavior intervention therapist at Priest River Elementary School and Priest River Lamanna High School.
