Man allegedly steals vehicle while taking test drive, leaves ID behind

On Friday, Nov. 9, Boise Police were called after a man had allegedly taken a car on a test drive and never returned. The Chevy SUV was listed for sale by a resident.

"The suspect had left his driver's license with the vehicle's owner who then gave it to police," according to Boise Police. "The owner reported he last saw the vehicle late Friday mornng. The theft was reported several hours later when the suspect and the SUV had not returned."

Later that night, Garden City Police called BPD saying they had found the stolen vehicle parked in a driveway on E. 47th in Garden City.

Officers saw the suspect, identified as Joey A Tudi, 36 of Hammond Sport, NY, walk to the vehicle. He was arrested on a Felony charge of Grand Theft. The SUV was returned to the owner.
