Silver Mountain Resort put up for sale
COEUR D'ALENE, Idaho (AP) -- The parent company of Silver Mountain Resort in northern Idaho has announced it plans to sell the ski resort and water park through seal-bid auctions between January and April.
The Coeur d'Alene Press reports that JELD-WEN has owned the resort for 16 years.
Silver Mountain General Manager Jeff Colburn says the ski resort will stay open through the ski season.
Silver Mountain Resort includes the ski area, an indoor water park and a nearby golf course community. Colburn says JELD-WEN has had interest from potential buyers but none who could purchase and manage all three of those entities.
As a result, Colburn says the resort's owners decided to sell them individually.
The sealed bid auction for the ski area will take place in mid-February.
