Garden City woman shot twice by drive-by shooter while sleeping Friday morning
A woman is in the hospital this morning after being shot in a drive-by shooting in Garden City early this morning.
According to Sgt. Jerry Walbey with the Garden City Police Department, police were called to a trailer court near 207 East 44th Street this morning for a report of a woman being shot while sleeping in her residence.
Ada County Paramedics responded and treated the 37-year-old woman who had been shot two times. The victim was taken to St. Alphonsus with non-life threatening injuries.
A witness near the scene reported seeing a white extended cab pickup truck with a rack, possible a Ford, leaving the area at a high rate of speed around the time of the shooting. Police are still on scene collecting evidence.
