Seattle-area student arrives at school with gunshot wound

KITTITAS, Wash. (AP) -- A Kittitas High School student arrived at school Thursday morning seeking help after he was shot off campus.

KOMO reports the high school and elementary school are locked down while Kittitas County sheriff's deputies and state troopers look for the shooter in the town about five miles east of Ellensburg.

The Washington State Patrol says the wounded student is in stable condition.
