Garden City Greenbelt initiatives met with mixed votes
A years-long issue regarding the Garden City Greenbelt took another step Tuesday night, with two initiatives on the city's ballots.
The goal of Initiative A was to repeal a city ordinance that "bans bike riding on a section of Greenbelt that is now dedicated to a non-paved nature path," said the Idaho Statesman. The vote failed by just 656 votes.
Initiative B would require voter approval if the city wanted to restrick non-motorized traffic on the Greenbelt. The measure passed by 231 votes.
