Former teen detention worker charged
BOISE, Idaho (AP) -- The former safety and security supervisor at the Idaho Department of Juvenile Corrections facility in Nampa has been charged with felony lewd conduct with a child.
Julie McCormick's employment at the Juvenile Corrections Center in Nampa ended in July. The facility is designed to house about 84 male and female juveniles between the ages of 13 and 20.
She was charged with lewd conduct with a child under the age of 16 Friday in Canyon County's 3rd District Court. It was not immediately clear if McCormick had an attorney, and she could not be immediately reached.
Idaho Department of Juvenile Correction officials didn't immediately return a phone call from The Associated Press.
