Idaho Power reports a large power outage impacting about 1,300 customers in west Boise. The outage was reported at 9:42 a.m. Wednesday morning.

The outage stretches from Fairview Avenue on the north to Franklin Road on the south, and from Curtis Road on the east to Milwaukee Street on the west. The outage impacts a number of businesses including the Boise Towne Square Mall and surrounding retail outlets. Many businesses, however, have back-up generators. There are also a number of retirement centers and mobile home parks in the impacted area.

The Power Company has dispatched crews to the area and, at last word, they are attempting to locate the cause of the outage.
