Jackpot man dies in a crash Tuesday night near Hollister
On Tuesday, Nov. 6, just before 9:30 p.m., the Idaho State Police investigated a two-vehicle fatal crash on US 93 at milepost 20, near Hollister.
Chris Larson, 49 of Townsend, Montana, was northbound in a semi truck and Lawrence Tiffany, 54 of Jackpot, Nevada, was southbound in a 1996 Dodge pickup. Tiffany failed to yield to oncoming traffic as he attempted to turn left on to 1700 East and his vehicle was struck by the semi.
Tiffany died at the scene of the crash. Larson was not injured. Traffic was reduced to one lane for almost four hours while crews worked to clear the roadway.
