Woman arrested after body found under house charged with first-degree murder
BOISE, Idaho (AP) -- A 21-year-old southwestern Idaho woman who police say shot a man from behind and then hid his body under a house has been charged with first-degree murder.
Jordan Marie Shaver was charged Monday in 4th District Court, and is being held in the Ada County Jail without bond. She's been appointed a public defender.
Police say that while investigating a missing person report in Garden City on Friday they found the body of 49-year-old Brian Barton Geddes. The Ada County coroner says Geddes died of a gunshot wound to the head.
Police say they were able to locate Shaver a short time later because she was using a cellphone belonging to Geddes.
Authorities say Shaver for two weeks purchased items with money stolen from Geddes.
