Canyon County volunteers to begin absentee ballot process Monday
According to Canyon County, county employees and volunteers will be opening absentee ballots at the Courthouse today in preparation of Election Day.

"Employees and volunteers will open approximately 15,000 absentee ballots throughout the day, pulling the ballots out of the envelopes and flattening them so they can be counted by the tabulators tomorrow," said Joe Decker with Canyon County. "The process of opening the absentee ballots involves 11 different stations and between 23-32 workers."
The employees and volunteers will be opening the absentee ballots in preparation of Election Day up until 5 p.m. Monday.
