Meridian elementary school put on lockdown
A Meridian elementary school is on lockdown after a police situation was called in nearby.
According to Ada County Dispatch, a warrant was served on the 1000 block of East Chateau this morning just after 10 a.m. Chief Joseph Elementary is nearby so the school was put on lockdown as a safety procedure.
According to Sgt. Tracy Basterrechea with the Meridian Police Dept., they heard what they believe may be a gunshot from inside the home.
