Police: Driver crashes into patrol car, flees
COEUR D'ALENE, Idaho (AP) -- Police in northern Idaho say they're looking for a vehicle that crashed into a Post Falls police K9 vehicle and then fled the scene.
Police tell the Coeur d'Alene Press the collision occurred about 3 a.m. Saturday while police were conducting a traffic stop for a possible DUI on Seltice Way near the Post Falls Highway District office.
Police say a vehicle traveling east on Seltice crashed into the back of the police vehicle causing about $4,000 in damage. No officers were injured.
The driver then fled at a high rate of speed. Police say the vehicle is an early 2000 model, green or brown passenger car. It likely has damage to its left front side.
