Body found in burning vehicle in northern Idaho
Authorities in northern Idaho say firefighters putting out a burning vehicle found a body inside.
Lt. Brannon Jordan of the Latah County Sheriff's Office tells says emergency workers responded to a report of a burning vehicle about 1 p.m. Saturday southeast of Moscow.
Jordan says the burning vehicle is registered to a 29-year-old Moscow man. Jordan says that earlier in the day police were called to do a welfare check on the man.
Jordan says evidence indicates the vehicle drove straight off the road, accelerated through a farm field, jumped a creek and crashed into the bank on the other side where it caught fire. He says it does not appear to be an accident.
Authorities are investigating.
