NAMPA, Idaho (AP) -- A former Nampa daycare worker has pleaded not guilty to several felony sex offenses, but prosecutors say a plea agreement is possible.

The Idaho Press-Tribune reports 23-year-old Joshua Ritchie pleaded not guilty Friday to nine counts of lewd conduct with a minor, one count of child sexual abuse, and two counts of sexual exploitation of a child.

Third District Judge Gregory Culet scheduled a trial for Feb. 12, but Deputy Canyon County Prosecuting Attorney Erica Kallin said the case still may be resolved without a trial. She asked Culet to schedule a potential change-of-plea hearing. Culet set that hearing for Dec. 14.

Court records say Ritchie acknowledged having inappropriate contact with a 5-year-old boy 7and to sexually touching at least a dozen other children between the ages of 5 and 12.
