New details on former state senator's arrest
Police records show former Republican state Sen. John McGee was accused of propositioning a female aide for sex and making other unwanted advances inside his Idaho Capitol office.
The woman gave her account of the February encounters to State Police detectives.
The police documents obtained by The Associated Press on Wednesday provided the most details to date about the accusations of sexually inappropriate behavior.
In September, McGee completed a 39-day stint in jail after pleading guilty to misdemeanor disturbing the peace.
Neither McGee nor his lawyer Scott McKay returned calls seeking comment.
McGee resigned his post on Feb. 22
Ada County prosecutors say they opted for the misdemeanor charge to ensure McGee would be held accountable and to respect the victim's wishes to avoid testifying at trial on more-serious accusations.
