Former school counselor denies child porn charges
BOISE, Idaho (AP) -- A former Meridian Middle School counselor suspected of being part of an online group that produced and traded child pornography has denied 10 counts of sexual exploitation of a child.
The Idaho Statesman reports 43-year-old Mark Saltzer pleaded not guilty Tuesday in District Court. He remains jailed in Ada County with his bail set at $1 million. His trial is set for April 3.
Boise Police searched Saltzer's house on Aug. 17 and found pornographic images on his computer. A 17-year-old boy who was there said he had been sexually abused by Saltzer.
Saltzer started working for the Meridian School District in 2007 and was put on leave in August. He later resigned.
