Child found alone in Ore. home with woman's corpse
PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) -- Police say discovered a hungry and thirsty 2-year-old boy alone in an east Portland house where a woman's body was found Wednesday morning.
They say the woman apparently died of natural causes.
A friend called officers after she hadn't heard from the woman for a few days.
Police say the child appears in good health but was taken to the hospital as a precaution. The police said detectives, the medical examiner and the Department of Human Services will try to find family for the child.
