Governor and first lady invite kids to trick or treat at Statehouse on Wednesday
Governor and first lady Otter are inviting Idaho’s children and their families to a free “Trick or Treat” Halloween event on the front steps of the Idaho Statehouse on Wednesday, Oct. 31, from 3:30 p.m. to 6 p.m.
According to the governor's office, a costume contest will take place at 5:30 p.m. Prizes will be awarded in the following categories: Idaho Historical Figure, Book or Movie Character, Scariest, and Most Creative. Age categories for the contest include children 1-6 years old and 7-14 years old.
The Idaho State Capitol is located at 700 W. Jefferson Street in downtown Boise. In the event of rain, trick or treating will take place in the rotunda on the second floor of the Capitol.
