One-vehicle crash near Burns leaves one man dead
Oregon State Police is continuing the investigation into the cause of a single vehicle fatal traffic crash reported early Sunday morning along Highway 205 about ten miles south of Burns. The crash resulted in the death of a Hines-area man.
On Oct. 28, just before 12:30 a.m., OSP were called to a single vehicle traffic crash along Highway 205 near milepost 9 after it was found by a passing motorist. According to OSP, a 2006 Dodge pickup driven by Damon Andrew Davis, 26 of Hines, was negotiating a curve when it traveled off the side of the road and rolled before coming to rest down a gully on its top. Davis was not wearing a seatbelt and was ejected from the pickup.
Fire personnel from Burns and Hines fire departments responded to the scene. Savid was taken by ambulance to Harney District Hospital where was pronounced dead.
