Burns man arrested for murder after man found dead early Saturday
Burns Police arrested a 49-year-old man Saturday morning on a murder charge following an investigation into the death of a Burns-area man.
According to Harney County District Attorney Tim Colahan, on Oct. 27, around 1:15 a.m., Burns Police Department responded to an incident on East Jefferson Street and found Eddie Ben Barela, 30, dead of a "chest wound."
Thomas Reyes Garcia, 49 of Burns, was arrested on one count of murder. Police don't have any more information on the investigation at this time.
