Idaho man hospitalized after Caldwell shooting
CALDWELL, Idaho (AP) -- Police in the southwestern Idaho city of Caldwell say one man was hospitalized after he was shot during a fight.
Caldwell Police Chief Chris Allgood said the shooting happened Wednesday morning, after two men got in a fight in front of a home. Allgood said one of the man had a gun, and witnesses reported hearing shots fired. When police arrived, they found two men struggling over a handgun, one of them injured.
Police say they detained a 34-year-old man at the scene, and a 39-year-old man was taken to a local hospital with a non-life threatening gunshot wound. Police didn't release the names of the men.
