The nation's gas prices are dropping, but the number is not translating to Idaho.

"The nation’s largest week-over-week decline in gas prices since 2008 hasn’t showed up in the Gem State – not yet, at least," said Dave Carlson with Idaho AAA. "Wholesale gasoline futures have dropped 30 cents since the start of October and oil prices touched at their lowest point since July yesterday. That’s helped push the national average price down 13 cents to an average of $3.63 a gallon."

But Idaho's average gas prices are now at $3.82 a gallon, 19 cents higher than the national average. That puts the state on the top 10 list for highest in the country.
