Idaho woman headed to prison after fatal accident
POCATELLO, Idaho (AP) -- A Forth Hall woman is headed to prison for up to 12 years after being convicted of vehicular manslaughter in a car crash that killed her husband and led to her friend's death.
The Idaho State Journal reports Constance Rae Weiser pleaded guilty in August to one count each of vehicular manslaughter and driving under the influence.
On Sept. 6, 2011, Weiser was driving in Pocatello when it hit the median, went airborne and then slammed into the side of a hill.
Desmond Craig Weiser, her 47-year-old husband, was killed. Thirty-three-year-old Tamara Medicinehorse later died from her injuries.
Constance Weiser's attorney said Monday she's still grieving over the death of her husband and close friend, but the judge said she had to suffer the consequences of driving drunk.
