Insurance investigators have visited the Nez Perce County prosecutor's office amid allegations of potentially inappropriate behavior.

Phone calls on Friday to Prosecutor Dan Spickler weren't immediately returned.

But Nez Perce County Commissioner Doug Haven confirmed that an employee of the Idaho Counties Risk Management Program had visited the prosecutor's office to gather information.

Haven said he couldn't provide specifics, but did say that there had been a complaint of inappropriate behavior.

The case was referred to ICRMP to avoid conflicts of interest.

The Idaho Counties Risk Management Program was created in 1985 and has become a source of property and casualty loss protection for Idaho local governments including counties, cities, and special purpose districts, according to its web site.

A phone call to the group in Boise wasn't returned Friday.
