Body found in Ada County
Ada County police are investigating a body found on the bank of the New York Canal in South Ada County. They believe the body is of an adult male possibly in his 40's. The body was found by a person walking a dog near the canal late this morning. This section of canal bank is just west of the culdesac at the end of Maple Grove.
Police tell us there are no obvious signs of trauma to the body and it does not appear to have been there very long.
The Ada County Coroner will determine the man's cause of death and his identity. The coroner's office will release that information after next of kin has been notified.
The investigation is ongoing, but so far there is no evidence suggesting there was foul play involved.
