Weiser man dies after his vehicle drives into irrigation canal, death called "natural"
On Thursday, Oct. 18, just before 12:45 p.m., the Idaho State Police were called to a single-vehicle crash at the intersection of Olds Ferry Road and Ferrel Road, near Weiser.
According to ISP, Jerry Greenawald, 68 of Weiser, was headed eastbound on Olds Ferry Road when his 1997 Landrover Discovery went off the left shoulder and crashed into an empty irrigation canal.
Greenawald was not wearing a seatbelt, but is believed to have died prior to the crash due to natural causes.
