Twin Falls Police were called just after 10 p.m. on Monday after a man robbed a Twin Falls Sonic at gunpoint.

Police were already in the area because a citizen had called dispatch just minutes earlier reporting a "suspicious" maroon vehicle parked behind the business. Employees told police that as they were closing the business, a man entered through an unlocked door and pointed a gun at them. He allegedly ordered the employees to the ground and demanded money.

"An undisclosed amount of money was given to the suspect, who later fled the scene without
anyone being injured," according to the Twin Falls Police Department. "An employee at the business said they recognized the suspect as a previous employee, whose name was Christopher Cole."

Officers found out that Cole frequents the Signature Bar in Twin Falls and found the suspect vehicle in the parking lot. They searched the vehicle and found a large amount of cash and a handgun.

Cole, 29 of Twin Falls, was arrested on suspicion of armed robbery and booked into the Twin Falls County Jail.
