MOSCOW, Idaho (AP) -- Federal officials say they are withholding the identity of the winning bidder in the auction for the Moscow federal office building -- at least for now.

U.S. General Services Administration Spokeswoman Stephanie Kenitzer says the winner won't be disclosed until at least 10 percent of the winning bid is secured.

The online auction for the 38-year-old building closed last weekend. The Lewiston Tribune reports the high bid came in at more than $2.38 million.

Kenitzer says the high bidder has 10 days from the auction's close to come up with the cash.

The U.S. Postal Service is the current anchor and tenant of the building. Latah County also leases office space inside.

GSA says the building needs more than $3 million in renovations and is better off selling it.
