Boise Police arrest three males in a home invasion overnight near Boise State
Three males were arrested overnight after an alleged home invasion that happened near the Boise State campus. Boise Police were called just before 1 a.m. Tuesday morning to a robbery in progress at an apartment near S. Denver Ave and Belmont Street.
At the victim's residence, officers learned the suspects in the case had entered the home, threatened two people inside "with what appeared to be a club and a handgun," said Boise Police, and stole several items belonging to one of the victims, many which have been recovered by police.
Several officers responding to the call saw four young males running from the area.
"As some officers responded to the victim's residence, others went after the running suspects. The suspects were ordered repeatedly by officers to stop," said Boise Police. "The suspects did not comply and kept running through alleys and neighbors yards. At one point, officers saw them try to enter another nearby apartment but the front door was locked so they continued to try and run from officers."
Officers caught on suspect in a parking lot in the block of 1000 S. Broadway Avenue. Another officer chased a second suspect over a fence and caught him in a parking lot in the block of 100 S. Broadway.
"A Boise Police K9 was called to help search for the two final suspects. The dog tracked one suspect across several front and backyards in the area of Longmont Ave. and Rossi Street," said the Boise Police. "The K9 located the suspect hiding in some bushes. The K9 did bite the suspect. He was treated and released by paramedics and taken to a nearby ER for additional evaluation, medically released and taken into custody."
The two juvenile males, a 17-year-old and a 14-year-old remain in custody of juvenile detention. The adult suspect, Jeremy I. Davis, 19 of Boise, was booked into the Ada County Jail. All three suspects were charged with Felony Robbery and Resisting and Obstructing Officers.
