LEWISTON, Idaho (AP) -- A north-central Idaho man says he was robbed as he waited at a Lewiston motel after answering an online ad for a prostitute.
Police tell the Lewiston Tribune the man reported he answered an adult ad on the website backpage.com and was waiting at the Econo Lodge motel Wednesday afternoon to meet the woman when two men arrived.
The Orofino man told police two men put something over his face and took all his belongings. He said one man had a gun.
Police were searching for the men, who may have been driving a small, older-model pickup truck painted a dull blackish gray.
