Teen faces inattentive driving charge for crash
POCATELLO, Idaho (AP) -- Pocatello police are blaming a teen motorist and a cellular phone for an accident that damaged a residential garage and home.
Investigators say the teen involved in the Monday morning crash faces a misdemeanor charge for inattentive driving. The teen also suffered minor injuries in the crash.
Witnesses told police they driver left the roadway, crossed the lawn of a home and struck the garage door and smashed further into a wall separating the garage from the house. Police say the teen was looking for a cell phone moments before losing control of the vehicle.
A resident was inside the home at the time, but was not injured.
