The Garden City Police Department received a call Saturday morning from a citizen who claimed to  see a mountain lion roaming near the Les Bois Park stables.

Officers with the Garden P.D. were joined by deputies with the Ada County Sheriff's Department who spent the morning searching for the feline along the Greenbelt, but the search came up empty.

On Saturday night, several recreationalists on the Greenbelt shared their concerns about exercising with the possibility of a mountain lion nearby.

"I'm cautious," Becky Macumber said. "[I'm] not too concerned here on the Greenbelt because there are so many people out here. I think somebody would get to you if something were to happen. I'm not afraid, just cautious."

Ed Talbert is the Boise-Riverside RV Park manager. He walks his dog along the Greenbelt a couple times a day.

"How long can it go before he [the mountain lion] does something wrong?" Talbert fears.

If you spot the mountain lion call police immediately.
