Fall has arrived, and the Boise area is offering many events this weekend.
Bodies Revealed at the Discovery Center
Whether it’s muscles, brains, or lungs – human specimens at the “Bodies Revealed” exhibit at the Discovery Center give an up close and personal look at the human body.
"The great thing about this is it allows you to come in and see what's going on inside your body and by doing that, hopefully, it will help you make some healthy lifestyle choices,” said Woody Sobey, education director at the Discovery Center.
The exhibit features a look at healthy organs compared to those damaged by disease.
Beam the Sea Turtle arrives at the Idaho Aquarium
The Idaho Aquarium will be presenting the new Sea Turtle Exhibit with the welcoming of Beam the Sea Turtle.
"Sea Turtles are declared an endangered species on the US Endangered Species List," said Stephanie Leonard with the aquarium. "Idaho Aquarium has diligently acquired all the state and federal permits to adopt this juvenile sea turtle that has been unreleasable into the wild."
Fall Harvest Festival at the Idaho Botanical Gardens
The Idaho Botanical Garden is gearing up for the annual Fall Harvest Festival this weekend. This family-friendly event has activities for people of all ages and features some terrific Scarecrow displays.

See Spot Walk
You might call it paws for a cause, as our four-legged friends take over downtown on Saturday for See Spot Walk. The annual fundraiser for the Idaho Humane Society is a tail waggin' good time.
Thousands of pooches and their owners come out for the festivities, including free goodies and dog talent contests. Michelle Edmonds will be down at the event Saturday morning at the Julia Davis Park band shell. Registration begins at 9 a.m.
