Another reported cougar sighting this morning in Garden City

Garden City Police Department officers are actively searching for a cougar that was sighted about 7:30 this morning near Veterans Memorial Parkway and the Boise River, according to Garden City Police Sgt. Jerry Walbey.

No further details were immediately available.

This is the second reported cougar sighting in the Boise area in as many days,

Deputies from the Ada County Sheriff’s Department investigated a cougar sighting Wednesday after a person called dispatchers around 10 a.m. to report seeing a mountain lion near the Boise River greenbelt behind Expo Idaho.

Deputies responded to the area. But, after an extensive search, they were unable to locate the animal. They have shared the information with Idaho Fish and Game officials and Garden City Police.
