Man hit by car after fleeing traffic stop on foot
BOISE, Idaho (AP) -- Idaho State Police say a man has been hospitalized after he was struck by a car while fleeing a traffic stop on Interstate 84.
Authorities say a trooper had pulled over 32-year-old Roberto Solario of Nampa on Tuesday afternoon near the Linden Road underpass in Canyon County.
The trooper asked the man to step out of the car, and after speaking briefly, Solario ran away and crossed traffic lanes where he was hit by a pickup truck on the freeway.
He was taken to Saint Alphonsus hospital in Boise.
Details about Solario's condition were not available Tuesday night.
State troopers are still investigating the situation.
