Garden City Police investigating rash of storage unit break-ins

Over the past two weeks, Garden City Police officers have investigated the burglaries or attempted burglaries of 32 storage units.

They say the crimes have taken place at four different storage facilities in the city. Detectives are still trying to identify some of the victims.

Police say they are increasing patrols, especially in the areas of storage unit facilities.

They remind anyone renting a storage units to make sure they lock the units with durable padlocks.
