Boise junior high student hit by car Thursday afternoon near school
Boise Police were called just before 3 p.m. Thursday to a crash between a car vs. bike collision that occurred near W. Bayhill Dr. and N. Milwaukee St, next to Valley View Elementary.
"A junior high age student (not a Valley View student) riding a mountain bike on the sidewalk adjacent to the southbound lanes of Milwaukee, collided with a Jeep SUV pulling out of a driveway," said Lynn Hightower with the Boise Police Department. "The child was not wearing a helmet."
Hightower said the child was not seriously hurt and was not taken to the hospital. The crash remains under investigation, but BPD wants to remind everyone to be careful while driving around schools.
