Man robs woman at gunpoint in Albertsons parking lot
Wednesday night, Sept. 26, around 9:45 p.m., Meridian Officers responded to a reported armed robbery in a parking lot of Albertson's in the Cherry Plaza Center near the intersection of Cherry and Meridian Road.
"The victim reported that as she was walking to her vehicle a white extended cab pickup truck pulled up next to her," said Lieutenant Scott Colaianni with the Meridian Police Department. "The victim stated a male suspect exited the vehicle and pulled out a light colored handgun and pointed it at her face and demanded her wallet. After obtaining the victim’s wallet the suspect re-entered the vehicle and fled the scene south bound towards Cherry and Meridian Road."
The victim describes the man as a white adult male in his mid to late 20's, 6 feet tall and 175-180 lbs. with a slender build. He was wearing a white baggie button-up shirt with a collar and red stripes, blue jeans and a ball cap. The vehicle is a white early 2000’s pickup truck, possibly a Ford, extended cab 4x4 with a black bed liner.
