Concrete beam being hauled on semi breaks loose on US 95
Monday, Sept. 24, around 11 a.m. Robert Mitchell, 64 of Parma, was driving on US 95 hauling a concrete beam for the bridge project in the Winchester Canyon.
Mitchell slowed the tractor slowed for traffic due to construction near milepost 203. The load's securement broke causing the beam to shift forward striking the cab of the tractor. Mitchell was not injured in the crash.
According to Idaho State Police, US 95 was blocked northbound for 6 hours.
