Idaho woman arrested, accused of conspiring to set her house on fire
BOISE, Idaho (AP) -- A southwestern Idaho woman was arrested after law enforcement officials say she asked somebody to burn down a property she no longer felt like maintaining.
Debra Ball of Star is in Ada County jail in Boise, following a 4th District Court hearing on Monday afternoon.
The Ada County Sheriff's Office says the matter came to its attention last Friday.
That's when a 40-year-old Washington state woman told the agency that her relative in Idaho was planning on moving out of the property maintained by the 60-year-old Ball.
According to the report, Ball asked the woman to instead set fire to the home in Star, a small bedroom community west of Boise.
Detectives say Ball confirmed the story when she was arrested.
