Karney Fire at 440-acres, 95 percent contained
Sunday morning, the Idaho Department of Land assumed command of the Karney Fire which is now 440-acres.
The Karney Fire started on September 17 and is now 95 percent contained. Estimated date for full containment is tomorrow, September 25.
The Boise County Sheriff lifted the level 1 evacuation order Sunday morning at 8:00 a.m. The road closure has also been removed. Fire vehicles will remain in the area, and the Boise National Forest is asking the public to avoid unnecessary travel on Robie Creek and Wilderness Ranch access roads due to the narrow conditions and lack of turn-outs until the fire is out.
