Hearing postponed for man charged in fatal crash of 2 Boise teens
BOISE, Idaho (AP) -- A hearing to determine whether a Boise man will face trial on charges stemming from a March car crash that killed two teens has been delayed.
The Idaho Statesman reports 20-year-old Cody A. Olson's preliminary hearing on felony vehicular manslaughter and child injury charges was scheduled for Friday but has been moved to Oct. 24.
Prosecutors say Olson was under the influence of alcohol and marijuana when he lost control of his vehicle and crashed, leaving two teen passengers dead and badly injuring three others, including himself.
Olson's attorney has said he still needs some surgery and was working to finish high school at the time of his August arrest. The attorney also noted Olson's family is still reeling from his older brother's death in a February car crash.
