Karney Fire now 10 percent contained
Firefighters have been working hard around the clock to protect homes from the Karney Fire. According to David Olson with the Boise National Forest, the fire is now 10 percent contained.
"Fire crews made good progress with burnouts on the Karney Fire last night," Olson said. "The fire is mostly holding at perimeters established around the fire late Tuesday."
The priority for the fire right now is to contain the fire along Wilderness Ranch Road because it spotted along the road. Olson says about 20 firefighters worked on the fire overnight and starting early this morning, even more ground resources and personnel will be used.
